Senators agree to boost car fuel standards - CNN.com
I tend to favor market pressures to increase fuel economy, but I'm generally not very passionate about it. I believe in fuel efficiency and I detest SUVs. I don't think that raising fuel economy to 35MPG for vehicles by 2020 is outside the means of car manufacturers at all.
However, I do like the Democrats attempt at "hide the gas cost increase" by proposing to tax oil companies $29 billion over 10 years. Of course they know that the cost will go down to the consumers, but as long as they're directly taxing "Big Oil" and not the consumers, it won't raise a ruckus...until people notice it at the pump.
Think Progress ยป REPORT: The Right Wing Domination Of Talk Radio And How To End It
Oh, I see. I guess the real reason that liberal radio stations don't succeed is because ummm...the First Amendment and capitalism, not because they suck?
Let's not forget that the Left already has a tax-payer funded national radio station: NPR.
Where's the conservative version?
What I love most about the article is the actual study that gives recommendations about limiting ownership of radio stations without citing studies why their numbers are right or appropriate. It's like they pulled numbers out of their rears!

Ah, Senator Obama, in time, people will know who you really are: just another politician.
