ABC News: Rutgers Player Sues Imus, NBC, CBS

Let the lawsuits begin. A Rutgers women's basketball player is suing Don Imus, et al. over his "nappy-headed hos' comment that cost him his job, but won him $20 million from CBS.

Kia Vaughn's attorney says thusly:
This is a lawsuit in order to restore the good name and reputation of my client, Kia Vaughn," said her attorney, Richard Ancowitz, in an exclusive interview with the ABC News Law & Justice Unit.
I don't quite understand how monetary damages "restore[s] the good name and reputation" of someone. In fact, it just cements the fact that Kia Vaughn is a nappy-headed ho.

More:
The lawsuit alleges that use of the slanderous terms was intentional and motivated by greed and financial gain
Remove "alleges that use of the slanderous terms" and you get the real story: The lawsuit was intentional and motivated by greed and financial gain.

More:
Vaughn's lawyer said that some of the money from any damages awarded in the lawsuit would be used to create a scholarship program to study the effects of bigoted and misogynistic speech on society.
Yeah, I wonder how much?

Kia Vaughn is, in my estimation, a greedy bitch. Quote me.
