We need more power

As I observed in a previous post, it is clear that the President, in tonight's address, will pursue increased federal power in disasters and expand the military's role in concert.

I am worried about this turn of events, and the those who complained about the slowness of the federal government in the aftermath of Katrina may well wish they never opened their mouths.

Palestinian rule

Boy, those Palestinians sure spread like viruses, don't they?

It seems that they want not only Israel, but Egypt, too.

But mainly, I suspect that they did it in order to smuggle in arms more easily. However, it shows that, first and foremost, the Palestinians are not interested in living peacefully with the Israelis...or anyone else for that matter.

ABC News: Amid Katrina Chaos, Congressman Used National Guard to Visit Home

What an appropriate use of the National Guard.

Congressman William Jefferson, D-La., used the National Guard to escort him to his home in New Orleans, so he could check up on it.

Good work, Congressman! Waste resources while poor African-Americans are suffering! What a racist.

Wait a minute, he's black! This makes no sense at all.

Mmmmmm

Tasty Apple.

Me likey.

Goodbye Michael Brown

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

If nothing else, then his incredible tone-deafness.

Good riddance.

The other side

Now that we've heard so many complaints regarding the slowness or incompetence of FEMA, why haven't we heard an itemized response from them as to why that was so?

Facts can be spun, and I never trust anecdotes at face value. I make decisions based on arguments from all sides. So, let's hear it, FEMA.

The 40-Year-Old Virgin

See 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin'.

This movie should win the Oscar for Best Picture and Steve Carrell should win Best Actor with all the terrible movies this year. Hilarious.

Liberal MSM?

What liberal bias?

Michelle Malkin has the details.

Perfect season for Cowboys!

So far, my Cowboys have a perfect season after defeating the Chargers 28-24.

What a great game. I do believe, however, that I will die in about 40 years due to heart failure. My heart was thumping like crazy watching the game.
