Poverty of thought?

I'm sorry, but exactly which civilization has the the greater poverty of thought? Methinks it's the Middle East (not including Israel), which publishes virtually no books other than books on Islam. Pathetic. The Middle East isn't exactly a fount of scientific or literary achievement these days.

Well, it's been awhile!

But, after I returned from Las Vegas Tuesday evening, I'm still decompressing. A buddy and I stayed for 3 nights at The Venetian, and it was an incredible experience. What was more incredible was The Bellagio's buffet. It was incredible! I wish that I could have stayed there for hours, but alas, I couldn't. Besides that, we saw Penn & Teller and Cirque du Soleil's Ka, which wasn't as good as Mystere, the one that I saw on my previous trip to Vegas.

All in all, an incredible experience. It's amazing the amount of fun to be had without even gambling.
