The staged Q&A

Michelle Malkin has an excellent post fisking the MSM regarding the supposed "staged" Q&A session President Bush held with soldiers serving in Iraq.

It's shameless how low they'll go to destroy our efforts in the war against terrorism.

Mental contortions

Whoa. I've no words to express how stupid the Swedish Supreme Court is.

PC gone overboard

How would you describe the offender to the Manchester police if you were hit by a car driven by a fat woman?

As a non-thin woman.

I love the quote by the Greater Manchester Police spokewoman:

“GMP has a policy on appropriate language aimed at helping police officers and police staff to be professional and correct when dealing with the public . . . it covers issues relating to race, disability, gender, religion, sexuality and age and includes operational guidance and information on where to seek advice.

“The policy, which is regularly reviewed and updated, is aimed at ensuring that honest mistakes through lack of knowledge or insensitivity can be corrected. GMP values diversity and respects individual differences.”

Good Lord.

Some holy month, huh?

Looks like Islamists don't stop beheading people even during Ramadan.

Madonna: 'TV is trash'

She also doesn't have any newspapers or magazines, either.

It shows.

Game Theorists Win Nobel for Economics

I'm not going to pretend that I completely understand game theory, but awarding the Nobel Prize for Economics to game theorists Thomas C. Schelling and Robert J. Aumann seems well-deserved. Fascinating stuff, game theory.

Gadget goodness

Oh...wow. Plasma Speakers.

Me want.

Terrible disaster

It's looking like the Southeast Asian earthquake that centered in the Pakistan-controlled section of Kashmir has taken at least 30,000 lives in Pakistan alone.

Help is on the way from nations such as ours, Japan, and Great Britain. Even India, against whom Pakistan had fought three wars, has offered assistance.

It's amazing how disasters can bring even bitter enemies together.

NOPD not looking so good

Man, when you can't even trust the police to help protect your property, whom can you trust? New Orleans police officers are accused of stealing over $4 million worth of cars from a Cadillac dealer. This amounts to more than 150 cars, including 2 classic cars.

The New Orleans PD sounds like they are the most corrupt major police force in the nation, and it's sad that it took a hurricane to expose them for the criminals they are.

Woohoo!

The Cowboys resoundingly defeated the Eagles today! What a game! I thought that Orange Julius should have stayed in the game and run up his rushing totals, but he's dinged up, so Tyson Thompson filled in very well.

Now, if only they can win two games in a row...they play the Giants next week.
