Iraq army seizes booby-trapped toy dolls

Putting explosives in toys. These are the actions of what the peaceniks call 'freedom fighters'.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Even though the Dallas Cowboys lost tonight 24-21, happy Thanksgiving to any readers of this blog!

US in move that may bar foreign researchers

In a knee-jerk reaction, the US is supposedly going to propose rules that restrict foreign nationals from doing high-level research in the wake of the recent arrests of 4 Chinese-Americans for spying.

I think this is a mistake for a country that depends upon importing academics based on our outstanding colleges and universities. I've advocated a more moderate approach. We cannot chill foreign talent from coming to our country, and this potential proposal may do just that.

Ahahahahahah!

LOLOLOLOLOL!!11!11!! This guy's rant at the Democratic Underground is classic!

A snippet for those who don't want to click thru:

And I don't know which is worse, the thugs carrying this out, or the MORANS who support them.

The feeble-minded, willfully ignorant, racist, bigoted, homo-phobic, fake, fundamentalist, robotic, culture-less vacuous soldiers who Goose Step In Perfect Unison into whatever Hell has been prepared for the world, by these monsters.

I can no longer peacefully co-exist with these people. They are accessories. They are co-conspirators, willful or ignorant, misguided or fearful, it matters not. They are ALL Guilty. I cannot have these people around me. I cannot have them in my personal space. I do not have children, but if I did I would not accept them being around my children.

They are filthy, degenerate, and LOST. And I no longer find their very existence acceptable. They are aiding in the destruction of this country, and as individuals they have absolutely NOTHING to contribute to the progression of the human species. NOTHING. I deeply hesitate to use the word "Useless Eaters", because of the negative connotations behind it, but I no longer care.

We are being MURDERED. This is GENOCIDE. It may be slow enough, and calculated enough to make the declaration of it as such absurd, but the intent is CLEAR. The PURPOSE is clear. THAT is what is being DONE.

When are people going to learn these people DO NOT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING. THEY STAND FOR NOTHING. THEY BELIEVE IN NOTHING.

God, these guys are nutjobs! I'd like to walk up to this guy and see what happens.

I like sources

I like news investigations that make extensive use of 'sources' when describing CIA interrogation techniques.

No pieces of paper, nothing documented, just the word of 'sources' is good enough for the likes of Andrew Sullivan, who believes anything anyone has to say.

The Iraqi Army

Now we're finding out that from the MSM that the Iraqi army is actually doing some good.

I guess they can't pretend that we're doing all the legwork for incompetent Iraqis anymore. What's more important is the last graf of the article:

In Taji, Alwan, the Sunni army captain, was ready to set a timeline for significant U.S. withdrawal. "Two years," Alwan said. If the Americans pull out before that -- before the government is steady, the constitution set and the army trained -- it "means we would go to civil conflict," he said.

To abandon them now or even in 6 months is not an option. We must see this experiment in democracy through.

Texas Sues Sony Over Alleged CD Spyware

The ball is rolling.

Bias anyone?

Hardball's Chris Matthews shows his journalistic bias against the Bush administration and his nihilistic inability to tell good from bad in a speech to poli sci students at the University of Toronto.

Apparently the Islamists beheading hostages and bombing wedding parties "[are] not evil -- they just have a different perspective."

Right.

Mexicans invading the U.S.?

What the heck is Homeland Security doing about this?

I can't believe that Mexican thugs were allowed to haul a drug-laden dump truck from sovereign U.S. territory over to Mexico! There must be a response from the U.S. government.

Limousine Liberals

A study by the Catalogue of Philanthropy puts my state of Massachusetts 49th in terms of giving to charitable organizations. This study, called the Generosity Index, is based on the amount given and the average adjusted gross income of the state. More interestingly, most of the poorest states also gave the most in proportion to their income.

This doesn't surprise me and reinforces my belief that Massachusetts, one of the most liberal states in the U.S., is full of limousine liberals: those who profess to care about the poor, yet do the least to actually help them. I experience that every time I have to do a liquor delivery at my part-time job. I could deliver 2 boxes worth of alcohol worth $200 up four flights of stairs to a $1 million brownstone in Back Bay and wind up with no tip. In fact, most of my deliveries end up with no tip. If I do get a tip, it's usually $5 or less no matter how much I bring to the household. The most outrageous deliveries are to residences with concierges and the customer isn't even there to sign the receipt!

Now, I'm not poor. In fact, I'm fairly well off, so I don't need the money by any means. I work at the liquor store for fun and the discount. However, customers don't know that. To them, I'm just a delivery boy making ends meet. So, when I get no tip, I recognize those limousine liberals for what they are: hypocrites.

What?

Leave it to the Florida Supreme Court to reprimand two lawyers who used an image of a pitbull in their advertisements.

The FSC reprimanded the lawyers and ordered them to attend an advertising workshop. The FSC worried that the lawyers "[ignored] the darker side of...pit bulls: malevolence, viciousness, and unpredictability", even though a referee had previously found that the ad symbolized "loyalty, persistence, tenacity, and aggressiveness" and that censoring it would infringe upon freedom of speech.

Good grief!

Gas prices dropping

Gas prices have dropped another 18 cents in the past two weeks.

Since we all know that Bush and the oil companies manipulated the gas prices up, they must also be responsible for lowering them, too, right? Good job, ExxonMobil! Thanks!

Democrats are not serious

Proof positive that most Congressional Democrats are not serious regarding their convictions of the war effort.

Just who's playing politics here?

Phony Theory, False Conflict

Charles Krauthammer writes a scathing indictment against 'Intelligent' Design.

Read it all.

Cowboys, 7-3!

Statistically speaking, it's not the prettiest win for the Cowboys, but they defeated the Lions, 20-7.

A win's a win. Great news, and that much closer to locking up a playoff berth.

al-Zarqawi dead?

It would be a huge blow to the terrorists if true.
