A long way to go

The Palestinians have a long way to go if they're still terrorizing themselves. The people that murdered the so-called 'collaborators' are not even human beings, they're animals.

Oh, the hypocrisy!

I simply can't believe this! It just goes to show that Europeans

1)enjoy appearing like a bunch of anti-Semites
2)somehow believe that dressing up like a Nazi at 20 is an 'innocent mistake'
3)don't have the moral standing to tell Americans the difference between right and wrong.

What if?

What if Jenna or Barbara Bush got caught wearing this?

So much for the "more tolerant and understanding" Europeans, eh?

I want to believe

I want to believe that we can build up Iraq with the troop levels that we have there. I want to hear the rationale of the military that what we have in Iraq is able to stabilize it in order to bring about democracy, but all I hear are statements without rationale. And when I read about the numerous attempts to derail the election at the end of January, it only makes me edge more and more to the conclusion that what we have there just isn't enough.

But, the question is: Is a two years enough time to pacify anything? Is it reasonable to think that? My gut instinct tells me that it would not be reasonable to have ever thought that Iraq could be pacified within two years, or even 5. I've always thought that the culture in Iraq made such hopes a pipe dream. We've got to be ready for the long haul, and in the end, I'm of the mindset that we must succeed.

The airport

I started my first day at Logan Airport assisting in programming the personnel security for the entire airport and already I can tell that this project is going to be a bear. I'm once again stuck in a small room with no windows, as I was when I worked the Genzyme project. However, all I have to do is take a walk to be in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the airport. In that respect, it's far better than being at the main office.

Also of note, at the gym I bumped into Catherine, a girl that I worked with on the Genzyme project. She was interning for Turner, our general contractor. Really great gal. Boisterous and really outgoing. What a surprise! I haven't seen here in at least a year.
