Overseas Firms Entrenched in Ports

Proof positive that the entire flap over Dubai Ports World's now-abandoned takeover bid of management of some U.S. ports was nothing more than politics and xenophobia. Sometimes Americans can be so pathetic in our "have our cake and eat it too" mentality.

I look forward to legislation mandating that all critical infrastructure be handled by U.S. companies and the day when the obvious need to subsidize such an untenable industry causes our government to balloon to even more epic proportions. Call it schadenfreude.

Supreme Court Upholds College Military Recruiting Law

Now, if they were such good lawyers, wouldn't they have realized that the "don't ask, don't tell" policy is an act of Congress, not the military?

**UPDATE**

Read Ann Althouse's take on the oral arguments of those representing the law schools' position.
