Prayer sure worked for me!

I thought Senator Brownback's performance on ABC's This Week completely disgusting and betrays his completely willful ignorance on the subject of stem-cell research. No rational, non-Bible thumping person can reasonably argue that somehow 400,000 mothers are suddenly going to up and impregnate themselves with embryos created in a laboratory.

It was revolting to hear Brownback offer his prayers to Senator Specter as if Brownback's prayers were worth a damn in Specter's struggle to beat Hodgkin's. Living in Massachusetts, a state that is significantly more liberal than most, even as a Republican I'm often surprised by the number of backwoods Bible-thumping hicks in the U.S. I can only hope that somehow, both Houses can come up with the votes to override a Presidential veto.
