Cheney fails to tell press he took a piss, media in uproar

As long as Dick Cheney broke no laws in witholding news that he accidentally shot a hunting companion in Corpus Christi, Texas, then I don't see why anyone has the 'right' to know about it right when it happened. Certainly, this kind of news was bound to come out, and it have been in the VP's best interest to get ahead of the story, but, again, Cheney's not obliged to tell anyone every time he takes a piss.

Meanwhile, Andrew Sullivan takes advantage of this moment by equating the Bush administration to a monarchy.
