Muslim Scholars Were Paid to Aid U.S. Propaganda

Typical NYT trash. It's amusing to read the title 'Muslim Scholars Were Paid to Aid U.S. Propaganda' and the read later on that "[i]t is unclear how much of this money, if any, went to the religious scholars, whose identities could not be learned."

So what have we learned here, kids? The body of the article almost directly contradicts the lede. Also, if the NYT had found out the names of the supposed scholars, they would have had no compunction about listing their names.
